I'm Taken With Teal

One more post from Jeannie and Jennifer's stamp camps. Taken With Teal is such a vibrant color and the coordinating Sweet Pea paper is perfect! I think both of these cards are really fun. The first card is from Jeannie's camp and the second is from Jennifer's.

This weekend I'm going be helping my Mom sort all the family pictures so we can work on photo albums for my parents, my brother, me and my uncles. It should be fun, but a little bit intimidating. We have LOTS of years of pictures to organize!

I {Heart} Grommets!

I was lucky enough to go to two stamp camps in as many weekends. I've showed you something from Jeannie's camp, now for a little something from my friend Jennifer's camp. My favorite thing about these cards??? GROMMETS! So cute!

Potato and Double-Corn Chowder

Yesterday I decided to try a new recipe in the ol' slow cooker. You will find that I love my slow cooker. It was good. Not great, but good. Next time, I think I'll add some shredded chicken. The best thing about the recipe, I love saying "chowder" (in my best Boston accent).

Potato and Double-Corn Chowder (from the Betty Crocker website)

1 bag (16 ounces) frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed (4 cups)
1 can (15.25 ounces) Green Giant® whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can (14.75 ounces) Green Giant® cream-style corn
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper

1. In 3- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients.
2. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours (or High heat setting 3 to 4 hours) to develop flavors.

Happy Valentine's Day!

OK, I finally did it. I've start a blog (thank you Emily for the encouragement!). As the banner says, it will be a little bit of this and little bit of that to show off some of my handiwork. Since today is Valentine's Day, I thought I would start off with some cards I made at my friend Jeannie's stamp camp a couple of weekends ago. Enjoy!
